Question:Where do I sleep?
Answer:You will sleep in a 7'x9' wall tent on wood platforms. Beds and mattresses will be provided

Question:What do I do if I have food allergies or dietary requirements?
Answer:Let us know in advance so we can inform the cook

Question: Can my child come for just one week?
Answer: Of course! Campers have the choice of coming just the first week, just the second week, or both!

Question: Do you have a TTY for my child to call home?
Answer: Yes, a tty is placed at a pay phone, so your child should have access to a calling card number or they can call home collect.

Question: Can I visit??
Answer: Parents are encouraged to come and visit your child, preferably during the middle weekend. However, parents are always welcomed at New England Deaf Camp. For safety reasons, we would ask that you stop in at the front office, check in and receive a visitor badge. Your understanding and compliance with this policy is greatly appreciated.

Question: What if my child can't swim?
Answer: BSA Certified lifeguards are required on the waterfront and there are three separate areas for children to swim based upon their ability during a "swim test". For children who are "non swimmers", a shallow waist deep area is set aside for them to wade in and cool off. In addition, we offer an instructional swim time with a lifeguard for those who wish to learn how to swim or campers who want improve their current ability level.

Question: What if my child takes medicine?
Answer: We have a Registered Nurse on camp at all times to administer medications.

Question: Will they have email access??
Answer: No, however you are encouraged to write to your child via "snail mail" at T.L. Storer Scout Reservation, Adams Pond, Province Road, Barnstead NH, 03281. Mail is distributed each day and most campers look forward to receiving news or a card from home. Counselors are available to help the younger children read their letters from home.
